    Unbelievable

As much as the next fan I enjoy watching these epic stages in the Giro, but and there's a but sometimes they are a little unbelievable. Spain seems to have produced a bunch of riders that currently are smashing the Giro to bits, but happen to make it look like a regular Sunday Club run.

Euskaltel-Euskadi have won two stages back to back with riders who to me have popped out of nowhere. I hold my hand up as A. I am no expert and B. I don't really follow the exploits of Grand Tour riders that closely. Well I hope that this Giro doesn't finish under a cloud of questions, but with a rainbow of hope.

    Hi Rich,
I have to say I agree. Contador's performance not to mention Euskaltel-Euskadis (or RadioShack's older riders blitzing the younger ones in the Tour of California) have been unbelievable as you say and given Contador's failed test, the scandals in Spanish cycling and the "doubtful" progeny of Radioshack it's been harder to enjoy these performances than normally and it's such a shame.

I too, really hope there isn't a new cloud on the horizon.

    Cheers
    Scott

  • Rich Land's Space

My obsession with the Classics from Feb through to Oct will be covered on here. I love the races in Belgium, in particular the Tour of Flanders (Ronde van Vlaanderen). Paris Roubaix along with the Giro di Lombardia are my favourite Monuments. My own exploits will be on here also, which are small and mean nothing to the wonder of the races over the pave.
